Matt Grason is an experienced fundraising professional with a passion for nature-based solutions to climate change. He has more than 23 years of fundraising experience, including 17 years writing proposals and managing portfolios of foundation, government, and corporate funders for non-profits. He has written more than 200 successful proposals, and managed non-profit portfolios of 20 to 30 funders averaging $500,000 in revenue a year. Matt has extensive hands-on experience with a range of regenerative agriculture strategies, including industrial-scale composting, growing trees, soil health and soil building, and organic and regenerative gardening. Matt founded and operates Hostile Takeover LLC, a tree nursery in Montgomery County, MD, focused on growing bare-root tree seedlings that will grow native nuts, fruits, and fodder for resilient and biodiverse food systems and communities.
